Proposed Changes to Technology Section

Hello, I'm requesting edits to the Technology section to bring this page up to date with the most current information and supporting external links. My request includes small edits to the existing section and the addition of two paragraphs. I want to ensure that the changes I'm requesting meet Wikipedia's standards and guidelines. Valens' HDBaseT technology is used for transmitting uncompressed high quality images and audio from the base stations, potentially up to a distance of 100 meters (328 ft) through a single cable, to remote displays as a part of its 5PlayTM system. HDBaseT is transmitted over category 6 cables with 8P8C modular connectors of the type commonly used for Ethernet local area network connections. HDBaseT transmits uncompressed ultra-high-definition video (up to 4K), audio, power over HDBaseT (PoH - up to 100W), Ethernet, USB, and a series of controls such as RS and IR.

HDBaseT is complementary to standards such as

, and digital televisions.

MIPI A-PHY v1.0 is the first industry-standard, long-reach serializer-deserializer (SerDes) physical layer interface. With A-PHY as the physical layer, MIPI introduced the MIPI Automotive SerDes Solutions (MASS) protocol to provide OEMs and suppliers with high-speed connectivity for the growing number of cameras, sensors, and displays in automotive applications.[1] A-PHY compliant chipsets simplify vehicle architecture and reduce overall costs by eliminating the need for proprietary bridging solutions to extend CSI-2 and DSI-2 data streams.[2]

Valens’ VA7000 A-PHY compliant chipsets provide a high bandwidth of 8Gbps per link, with a deserializer aggregating 32Gbps, and with a roadmap to 16Gbps per link. With a low packet error rate (PER) of 10 to the power of -19, the VA7000 allows the links to operate over low-cost unshielded cables and connectors. The chipsets are capable of reaching up to 15 meters.[3]
