Updates needed

The article still speaks of plans for 2015 and 2016 in the future. Also, it may be relevant to mention President Trump's speech last night about upcoming plans for U.S. military presence in Afghanistan. Largoplazo (talk) 10:43, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article might include the consequences of the troop withdrawal.Hpfeil (talk) 03:20, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

There is a move discussion in progress on

Talk:2021 withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 22:06, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply

Move sections to different article

Since the article is about the 2011-2016 withdrawal, I think it would reduce confusion and increase consistency to move everything after 2016 to the background/prelude section of the

2021 withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan article. Specifically, I plan to copy edit the "Plans by the administration of Donald Trump" and "Plans by the administration of Joe Biden" to the newer article. Anyone agree with this proposal? RopeTricks (talk) 07:12, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply

It has been over a week, I will go ahead and
Boldly move the info. to the new article. RopeTricks (talk) 14:55, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply
