Your point about Chinese media is well taken, though. There are dozens of examples of

WP:RS. Here are some Chinese-language articles from over the years that appear to be strong sources to me (all significant coverage, no passing mentions): [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8]. There are also numerous Chinese sources cited in the article on Chinese Wikipedia
