The beauty about Zuma rock isn't just the fact that it is a monolith, but also because of the power the Nigerians believe it has. If anyone takes a closer look at it, they would notice that there is an image of a face planted on it. There are no references as to how it came to be, but Nigerians do believe that becuase of the face, Zuma rock has some mystical and magical powers. The height of the rock is given, without a source, in this article as 725 metres and in the Abuja article (again without a source) as 792 metres. A quick google provides figures (all in sources I don't think are reliable or likely sourced from Wikipedia) of "about 700 metres", "3,690 feet and 11.3 inches (1,130 metres)" (fairly obviously an overly exact conversion from metres), "623 ft", and "2,378 feet". Well, according to https://cldesign.maps.arcgis.com/apps/View/index.html?appid=44d6988804214f1ababcc9b385968b35 (enter "Zuma Rock") the altitude above sea level of Zuma Rock is just above 700 metres. With the circumference of 3.1 km the diameter is about 1 km. Considering the ratio of diameter (or width) and height and checking the photographs, it is fairly obvious that the height is less than stated now in the article. The same is true for a check-up with Google Earth which is inaccurate but seems to prove the point that the altitude above sea level is not 1125 metres but much less. I'm also getting tired now.
