Alfred Klotz

  • ... that classicist Alfred Klotz injured his eye at the Battle of the Somme? Seel (1956) 398
  • ALT1 ... that classicist Alfred Klotz wrote a textbook on race theory that turned out to be a commercial failure?

  • Not a review, but I have to say that the hook is boring-as. Isn't there something more exciting that could be said about Klotz? Schwede66 00:50, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
@Schwede66: Thank you for the comment. There is one fact in the article which I think would be interesting enough: during the Third Reich, he wrote a racist textbook that turned out to be a commercial flop. I didn't add it because I as concerned it might be viewed as undue. I'll add it nonetheless. Modussiccandi (talk) 09:33, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
Much better! Schwede66 10:04, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
General: Article is new enough and long enough

QPQ: Done.

Overall: ALT1 works better. The hook needs to stress its connection to scientific racism more clearly. A "textbook on race theory" is perhaps too innocuous sounding. I'd also like to see more on the hook in the article. Why did he write the book (it was commissioned), and why did it fail (it did not meet the requirements of the authorities)? The German version of the article sheds some light on this. intforce (talk) 13:31, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

@Intforce: thank you for the review. I've expanded the relevant section of the article. I'll post a new hook below. Let me know what you think. Modussiccandi (talk) 14:07, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
