TfD nomination of Template:Seinfeld

I'm taking out the "Ultimate Sitcom" link on the grounds that it is UK-specific. If you look at the list, it is overwhelmingly dominated by UK comedy shows. Also only shows that have been broadcast in the UK on the list. Also, the "industry insiders" who judged the shows are overwhelmingly from the UK. This is not a useful list for showing Seinfeld's status... except for the UK specifically and only. "The Ultimate Sitcom" is just the title of another cheap-to-make "list of the best"/excuse-for-clips TV show.. it's not actually the "ultimate" authority on anything... Alton Benes

I think there should really be an article on him. He is Elaine's father, after all, and Kramer's mother Babs was added. He only appeared in "The Jacket" episode, but Babs only appeared twice. —The preceding

XXX Parody

The XXX Seinfeld parody doesn't belong in the show's template box. It is not related all to the Seinfeld universe nor anyone involved with the show, nor is it particularly notable.

Whilst it has an article, it is deemed notable by Wikipedia. As far as its inclusion, as a derivative work, it clearly belongs here. --

Tom's Restaurant

As a real-world location, it has no direct relationship with the series (it was used for external location shots only), so needs to be removed. Its fictional counterpart is directly related and of course should stay. --

Tom's Restaurant is used as a subsection, not as a stand alone listing. The entire sign was used in early episodes, so the name 'Tom's Restaurant' does appear in the series (later changed to Monk's, which has the main page on the template). Tom's is shown in almost every episode of the series, so would hold interest to Seinfeld fans, and its appearance in Seinfeld is prominent in the lead of its article. Maybe this isn't an exact guideline fit, but seems like a good exception. Show a photo of the restaurant to just about anyone in the U.S. and their only point of reference (unlike something like the White House or other buildings) is Seinfeld. Why not an exception in this case, especially since it's a subsection. Randy Kryn 13:14, 13 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Whether or not it's a subsection (or main heading, or group heading or whatever) is irrelevant, the link is still visible in the navbox and the same rule should apply. Linking to the ficitionalised version is sufficient. We link to the song "
