Unit 999 (Arabic: الوحدة 999 قتال), also known as Task Force 999, is a tier two special operations forces in the Egyptian Army, falling under the El-Sa'ka Forces.[1] It is capable of conducting air and land operations, this unit specializes in commando style raids, counterterrorism, irregular warfare, operating in difficult to access terrains, special operations in behind enemy lines, special reconnaissance, and tracking targets. They are most often used for special reconnaissance missions to gather intelligence.
