Additionally... A little bit about myself.

Real name: Bryan

Age: I was born in 1968... you do the math.

Located in: Sunny Arizona, U.S.A.

My current projects: Working my job, taking care of my family, and wasting time here overwhelmed by the bad video game articles on the wiki. Sometimes I jump in and try to help explain to people about copyright and screenshots but that's almost always a hopeless cause.

My background: I've been playing video games since the days of Pong. I wrote several strategy guides, walk-thoughs, and the like during the 80's for a number of Apple IIe games. I've been involved with the video game industry professionally since 1991 when I both launched, and became Co-Editor of a video game magazine (Game Zero magazine) which was published from 1992 to 1998, attending trade shows, etc, etc... I actively maintain the archive site of the magazine now as it is one of the few remaining video game news sites on the web from it's era, and one of the only places remaining where you can see video gaming content from that time in context. Some of the content now only appears there. While I've taken heat on this from people at time for "hanging onto the past", I see it differently. I believe that as I chose to publish it, I have the responsibility to make sure it stays available since nobody else is going to.

In any event, myself, my wife and my brother-in-law have at one point in time or another worked for various game companies over the years. My wife's company develops games for the home market as well as simulator implementations for military use. We've also been involved with many other Internet technologies and odds are that you've used atleast one of the systems that one of us built or worked on.

Also, FWIW, here are a couple of links (

) to the pointless fight I tried to put up regarding missuse of video game screen shots on the Wiki. People clearly either can't grasp copyright (who can blame them), or don't care. Sigh.

NOTE regarding Game Zero magazine: For now the page is archived in my user pages. This page was removed due to "lack of relevance", a common problem on early 90's internet content. I am currently exploring ways to resolve this issue. Game Zero magazine/Game Zero magazine, talk page

NOTE 2: Well apparently having these pages on my talk page/personal sandbox space was even too much for someone and both pages apparently were speedy deleted back in March and June respectively. I'm really just too tired to deal with this. I give up.
