Hello, I'm Hey man im josh. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Freedom! '90 have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:01, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
What do you mean by “they were not constructive”. The song is not about his cynicism of the music industry. It’s clearly about him coming out as gay. You can see that in his quote later in this article about knowing he is gay and needing to deconstruct his image. It is also reflected in the mention that it’s rank as one of the gay coming out song. Or you can just listen to the words of the song.
Honestly, you calling my edit “not constructive” means you don’t think his sexual orientation is not important to the song and sounds just plain bigoted. 2600:387:F:5618:0:0:0:A (talk) 13:14, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
In fact, the whole article, except the two things I noted above, is extremely light on information about this issue, so my edit is not just constructive, it’s essential so that the reader understands the significance of the song to both George Michael and the gay community. 2600:387:F:5618:0:0:0:A (talk) 13:18, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
I’m also kind of frustrated that you were able to immediately revert my edit, but have yet to respond to me about why my edit was “not constructive”. I know edit wars are not permissible on Wikipedia, so I’m trying to engage you to fully resolve this issue rather than just reverting what I believe is an unjust reversion. 173.79.107.144 (talk) 13:41, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
Hey look at that. The first two responses I was on cellular data, now I’m home on Wi-Fi. This is my IP address, and all of these responses are from same person. 173.79.107.144 (talk) 13:42, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
