Molecular signatures section added to various microbiology articles

Hello there. I noticed that you have gone and added basically the same text across a variety of bacterial genus articles. However, the information added is very generic, and seems to be more about conserved signature indels than it is about the subject of the article itself. I also question the rationale behind adding this information because I noticed that the same name pops up across all three references that are included. If you were involved in this research, I suggest you read

WP:COI
, because it seems like you are trying to promote CSI in the articles instead of adding information specifically about the genera.

If you had nothing to do with the research, and you are just passionate about this science, I apologize, but I still hold that the two paragraphs you have added to various articles belong in the article Conserved signature indels, not in the genus articles. I am going to remove this information, and if you wish to discuss, please do so here, I have watchlisted this talk page. Angryapathy (talk) 19:39, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I will be going back into my articles and editing them to only include the most relevant information to the topic. I originally added the blurb about CSIs because I thought the general public might not be aware of what they are and therefore could benefit from a brief introduction, but linking the CSI article should be sufficient. DYK for Alkalihalobacillus

On 2 July 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Alkalihalobacillus, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that bacteria in the genus Alkalihalobacillus can grow in places as basic as hand soap or as salty as seawater? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Alkalihalobacillus. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Alkalihalobacillus), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
