I'm kind of embarassed it was there for so long. But the proper way to fix a page title is to move the page (using the move button, next to the history and edit buttons). Simply blanking and copying and pasting as you did is not a good solution for various reasons. You should be able to move pages, but if not there is always Wikipedia:Requested moves. Let me know if you have any questions about this or WP in general. Your edits to Louisville-related articles are noticed and appreciated. --W.marsh 03:58, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Greetings! I've just created the new
Louisville-Elizabethtown-Scottsburg, KY-IN Combined Statistical Area
Hi there. Would you reconsider adding back the old data as long as it noted to be pre-CSA? I just think it's useful comparative info and therefore encyclopedic. Thanks for your time. —
I agree that the information is useful, but the CSA was created in 2000 and to act as if it existed prior to that is inaccurate and can lead to misperceptions of Census methodology. The data can be presented both accurately and usefully in pages presenting the individual MSA areas. When I edited the page I put accuracy foremost. --User:Chris24 04:08, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

CSAs did not exist prior to December 7, 2000 and MSAs did not exist prior to 1950. Although the Louisville MSA has existed since 1950, it has been comprised of different counties at different censuses. Simply adding previous county populations to a current census defined place does not mean that those figures are accurate for previous years. When Louisville merged with Jefferson County in 2003 it did not change Louisville's population statistics for previous years. In 1960 the population of Louisville was 390,639 and the population of Jefferson County KY was 610,947. To state that the 1960 population of Louisville was 610,947 would not be accurate because the merger of governments had not yet occurred. The same is true for MSAs and CSAs. Just because some numbers add up to 4,094,243 it does not make it a factual and verifiable population statistic. All I have done in any editing is to be completely truthful, factual, and verifiable. It is regrettable that you are unable to be truthful, factual, or verifiable in your postings as well. --Chris24 04:09, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Reference(s) for population data for Ohio Counties?
Hi -- Thank you for your additions of population data for counties. One request: When you add such information, could you please cite the sources in a reference section? If you need an example of how to use "ref" tags and the reference section, please consider looking at the Wauseon, Ohio page's code. To see how it works with a much larger article, check out the United States article. Thanks! --JonathanFreed 03:17, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Since the Census Bureau is already cited as the source in the Demographic section for individual counties, I did not want to be redundant by citing the same source twice. The specific page for Ohio counties can be found at this Census website. --User:Chris24 03:45, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks too for these great additions. I was going to also ask you to cite the ref, so I added a sample ref from the link you gave to Clermont County, Ohio's table. Also, please don't mark these as minor edits - they are not. Thanks, Ruhrfisch 20:28, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Merger on Cincy Metro Area article
While I did not choose the article title, I left it as it was (and went with the suggested merge direction) because I felt that retaining the generic metro area title allowed the article to discuss all three MSA definitions. This is one case where I felt ambiguity was preferable, as the three MSA levels (from my reading of it, anyway) are basically the same except that a couple of extra counties are added at each level. It may be better for the redirects to flow toward the highest-level MSA. I was primarily going with the suggested merge direction. --Carl (talk|contribs) 04:10, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I realize that you did not choose the article title, but my opinion is that we should be editors and not authors. I did not choose the official name of Cincinnati-Hamilton, OH-KY-IN Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area but recognize the fact that this is the official name. -Chris24 04:34, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Supposed vandalism to List of U.S. state mottos
Where is this act of vandalism? All I did was to add the official state motto of Kentucky and make sure that both the state motto and the state latin motto were both there. I am confused as when I compare the two versions (mine and yours), I see no difference. nivek1385 06:16, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- There is no act of vandalism by you, the inaccurate edit was by 69.38.41.57 and all I did was revert to your version which I viewed as accurate. Chris24 06:30, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, okay, I see what you're saying. I must've misread the edit summary and that's how I became confused. Thanks for the response. Also, I've been asking on the discussion page on an entry I've put a lot of time into on whether or not it meets NPOV now, but no one responds. Would you be willing to take a look and offer your opinion? nivek1385 04:08, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Cincinnati metro area
If you want to use official OMB names for the article title, please use the current name as listed here, which shows that the correct name is "Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area". Thanks. --Polaron | Talk 06:13, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the correction on KY HIgher Ed
I remembered accreditation being a criterion, but forgot about the four-year part. BTW, maybe we should have some discussion about which pages get the Higher Ed Template. Should it only be for pages linked to by it? If so, I should remove it from Daymar. I've been wondering why it was on Mark Berger and Gatton College of Business and Economics. A conversation worth having? Acdixon 13:55, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- I would think that the template would only be appropriate on the articles of the schools that are on the template. If it is on school article page and not on the template, it is almost an invitation for someone to add it to the template which would land us all back onto the talk page to come to another consensus about what is and what isn't included. I see no reason for it to be on the Mark Berger and Gatton College of Business and Economics articles as both are related to (and already link) to the University of Kentucky which is already on the template. The article List of shopping centers in Louisville, Kentucky has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Over-specific list. Most of these entries are non-notable strip malls with only a couple shops. The few that are worth keeping are already on Template:Louisvillemalls, so a list would serve no other purpose.
