Angela, thanks for your kind welcome, I was pleased to see you had added Derby's Arboretum to Wikipedia. Being a local historian who operates within a local history and haritage group, I have access to a mountain of research about Derby and Derbyshire, and look forward to sharing this knowledge.
Bakewell Pudding
I have been making some ammendments to the Bakewell Pudding references. As a regular visitor to Bakewell over the past 40 years, I am only too aware of local opinion on the Tart/Pudding issue. Bakewell Tarts are common to the whole of the UK and are not exclusive to Bakewell. The Pudding is however a Bakewell product and is currently under review for protection under EU trading legislation. This means that you must be based in Bakewell in order to produce the pudding. The two confections are entireley different in every respect, though I think the pudding looks like a cow-pat, it is however a really deliceous confection and an absolute must if visiting Derbyshire. You can of course order the confection on-line from any of the Bakewell bakeries.
St. Werburgh's Church
Hey, just thought I'd drop a note since I reconfigured your St. Werburgh's Church. Generally, articles should be written as stand-alone descriptive articles rather than being intimitely tied to images, which instead should be described in the image caption (and usually thumbnailed if they're large). Otherwise great work! --Delirium 11:12, May 3, 2004 (UTC)

There's a project underway to add copyright tags to images, and a few images you uploaded showed up on the list. Namely:
I assume that they're personal photos, but -- perhaps displaying an excess of caution -- I'm asking you to confirm that, and what tags should be added to them. Thanks! --Calton 01:10, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Plagueplaque.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Plagueplaque.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Pak21 15:27, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Copyright Violation
Hello, and
Copyright Violation reply
Please accept my apologies, as I am the author of the original article about
I hope this will suffice for the copyright purposes.
- Actually, if you place your own text onto Wikipedia and realize that doing so puts it under the GFDL, you violate no copyrights. None. I'm no expert, but I don't think its possible to infringe your own copyrights. The notice on articles just means it is a *possible* copyright violation. As long as you put your text under the GFDL, there is none. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding this may have caused, but I just didn't realize you had put your own text into the article. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask me; I'll do my best or at least point you in the right direction. Oh, also, please try and sign your messages on talk pages with four tildes (~). Again, I'm sorry for any misunderstandings. --Douglas Whitaker 03:01, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Nice article!
Just to say I liked your article on W. J. Coffee: keep up the good work! Don't hesitate to drop me a line if there's anything I can help with. Happy editing, JackyR | Talk 20:45, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I see you ran into copyright suspicions above. It seems a common problem for professional writers who also contribute to WP!
- Btw, for the photos, have you discovered Wikipedia Commons yet? It's the central library for all the Wikimedia projects (German-language Wikipedia, Wiktionary, etc). One uploads images there in exactly the same way as to English Wikipedia, and then they can be used by every project. Someone has already transferred Image:Darwin cutout.gif there. Commons:First steps is very helpful, and there's plenty of when you hit "Upload file". Any probs, gissa shout! JackyR | Talk 14:44, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered,
My Photo contributions
I seem to be having a problem with the photos that I have uploaded to Wkipedia as they all nearly seem to be marked for deletion due to copyright issues. I cannot understand why this should be he case as I am an amateur photographer and have taken several thousand photos of my home city and have willingly uploaded copies and agred to the fair use of hese. Where I have photographed museum artefacts I have done so with the Museum Service's permission and paid the fee. The photographs are my own property and I have permission to teat all images as such.
File source problem with File:Pudshopfront.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Pudshopfront.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:45, 4 April 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 21:45, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

File:Roycememorial.jpg needs authorship information
The media file you uploaded as File:Roycememorial.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.
It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.
Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).
- If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:

- If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
