Religion

Hi Christian Historybuff, I was just wondering why you believe that your religion is the right one. What drew you to that specific religion? I’m doing research for my thesis and I’d like to get a discussion going. Get back to me. All the best. MagicBullet5 (talk) 17:23, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the Deal

There is no other forum in our world in which we can make bold statements about something without any evidence, and we’re not aloud to question them without being deemed intolerant. If a scientist were to write a book about the true nature of the universe and have zero evidence to back up his theories, he would be shunned from the scientific community. But if he had written such a book in pre-scientific times then suddenly it could be considered a credible source of information for the meaning of everything. I want to suggest that there is a giant unicorn that created everything and everyone. This unicorn continues to watch over the world and make decisions about the events that take place on it. I’m sure this unicorn-based religion sounds ridiculous, but if it was taught to us from our birth and we went to meetings every week to worship the giant unicorn, it wouldn’t seem so outlandish to 90% of the people. There is just as much scientific evidence supporting the religion that I just made up as there is for any existent religion. I don’t believe in God at all, just like I don’t believe in Zeus, Apollo, Allah, or Mother Goose. MagicBullet5 (talk) 22:41, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
