Western names

Hi - I respect your work in HK judicial matters, so just to say I undid your change to Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, as I can see no reason or WP precedent to include obscure middle names of old Brits, who already have their own article. In fact, Chinese names are generally kept to their English form (eg Ambrose Lee) on WP - I now like to use the SCMP form (eg Ambrose Lee Siu-kwong), but may conform here. - Onanoff (talk) 17:47, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Onanoff: Sure, thanks and appreciate you letting me know. CityPride (talk) 11:21, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Broken code

Hi. Could you take a look at your edit here[1]? The code isn't rendering properly, and I don't know how to fix it besides the asymmetric pair of double or single brackets, which I tried but didn't work. Thanks!   — TARDIS builder💬     05:21, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - Please can you observe our polices and guidelines on verification. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 08:47, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Dormskirk, thanks for the message. I can add citations on the SCB leadership as I have an actual book from the bank that contains this information. For Goldman, however, I just followed the Wikipedia infobox of Goldman CEO's and clicked on each name until I went back to the founder. I can find external sources to verify, or is there another method that would be more suitable in this situation? Thanks a lot. CityPride (talk) 13:07, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Republic of China Presidents

Hi, why were the presidents of the Beiyang republic removed from the page of presidents? There's no seperate page for them and they're also mentioned in the list of presidents on the Zh.(Chinese) wikipedia page. They're also mentioned on the President of the Republic of China page. I think it would be better to revert it back, or make a seperate page for them. - Hellbat31 (talk) 14:31, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey
List_of_presidents_of_the_Republic_of_China_(before_1947)
. It seems cleaner because "President of the ROC" prior to 1947 is a completely different thing versus what it is today, which is basically the President of Taiwan. Official Taiwanese govt websites also count Chaing Kai-shek as the first President of the ROC. Hope this helps!

Information icon Hi CityPride! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you.
