I have no idea or any interest to know what any of the tripe on that page Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dopenguins actually means if anything. It looks as if there are quite a few people who are involved in this bullying though - constantly destroying the work of others like what you are doing. Very worrying.
Sadly there will always be people like this with simply nothing better to do that to remove genuine, useful and correct content, destroying the valid and thought out contributions of others and trying to dominate the community. β€”Β Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.155.69.90 (talk) 05:32, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Opening an account changes nothing. The articles are still destroyed and reverted back to their incorrect forms by the same bullies who the close the account. So the problem isn't actually solved this way. Interestingly though it is only on a certain set of articles that this occurs, some edits are often missed and left alone, so this system of bullying clearly hasn't been perfected as yet. What a sad thought that this is what you and the others do all day. How do you sleep knowing you have bullied and destroyed people and their work? β€”Β Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.155.69.90 (talk) 05:37, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dear GrapefruiSculpin,
I disagree with your changes. I may have added some sentences that are not technical enough in tone. For example, to describe van Putten's music. However, the sentences before that description are neutral in tone. The sentences about his participation in "The Hit" are also neutral in tone. I linked external sites that are on Wikipedia. I assume that it is allowed because it is not for promotion and it is not tabloid. The Wikipedia page for "The Hit" is in Dutch but is still accurate. Furthermore, I agree that the external link to Bryan van Putten's own site could be viewed as a promotion. Although he is not gaining money from it or anything. The other external site was about how he has won as a participant on "THe HIt." It is not a tabloid site, it is a news site in Dutch. It states the fact that he won but adds his opinion about the show being a flow in The Netherlands. So tell me, what is wrong with these external links?
Last but not least, the additions I made to early life entries may be seen as sketchy. So I understand why you would remove them. However, I do not appreciate that you remove parts that do adhere to the rules of Wikipedia. I advice you to not be so careless when you are reviewing updates. Biographies are not the same as aerospace and infrastructure. Ulvinde (talk) β€”Preceding undated comment added 11:02, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

reliably sourced paragraphs of well-written prose. And on a side note, you've indicated you live in Jakarta, over 10,000 miles from Philadelphia. I could totally be stepping out of my lane here, but if you're not providing reliable sources in lieu of consensus and live in the opposite hemisphere of the subject's location, what's the foundation for your claims and liberal application of the delete key? Do you personally know for a fact, en.Wikipedia's nomenclature is wrong across multiple, reliably sourced articles? Now if you grew up, or lived in Philadelphia for some time, that throws my presumptive analysis out the window, but you can hopefully understand my reservations. I wouldn't dare make the changes as you have to Philadelphia to the Jakarta article without reliable sources and consensus on Jakarta's talk page. β†’β€Ž GS β†’β€Ž ☎ β†’ 11:54, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply

Bystroye Canal

I object to your statement that my contributions are unsubstantiated. 1. I corrected the name of the branch from Old Istambul to Old Stambul. It is not a research, it is a simple correction of the name, such as it is presented in all maps of the area. Why you insist in keeping an incorrect name is a mystery,

2. The second comment regarding the siltation is just a problem of common sense, and does not need any research. The article in Wikipedia regarding the Danube-Black Sea Canal states that the canal became operational in 1984. Simply taking an information from another Wikipedia article is not an original research. It also does not require any type of research to reach the conclusion that something cannot have an effect before it was constructed. If you state that somebody has passed a PhD examination before he was born, that statement is wrong without any research.

I respectfully disagree with your statementsAfil (talk) 07:33, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

So yes, not including a reference and adding commentary definitely means your addition (to include the name change) was unsubstantiated, and common sense in this instance is insufficient without 1: a reliable source 2: sticking to English Wikipedia's manual of style for writing articles. You've been editing en.Wikipedia for a while, I'm surprised by your surprise at the situation. β†’β€Ž GS β†’β€Ž ☎ β†’ 11:38, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You might not like the comment. However, if a statement in an article is obviously wrong, that statement should be eliminated. For instance, if the article stated that Bystroye is in California, that statement should be eliminated not mentioned in a discussion. The way you present things simply shows that Wikipedia is trying to promote incorrect statements, which is WRONG. It would be different if it would be controversial, which it is not in this case.Afil (talk) 17:01, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Grapefruit. I have no trouble with your modifications to the paragraph I wrote on the Austal page, except that you have removed my reference to Gross Tons and replaced it with (conventional) tons. In non military shipping, especially in relation to ferries and cruise liners

Gross Tonnage
is the standard measurement of a ships capacity. Note that it is a measure of the enclosed volume of a ship, NOT it's weight (or displacement). Because fast multi hull ferries are relatively light but have a lot of enclosed space, the number of Gross Tons is usually many times the displacement tonnage, so in that sense your edit wildly distorts the standard measure of gross tonnage.

I added my single background paragraph because while the majority of Austal built ships are ferries, the vast majority of the page is about Austal's naval and defense products, so I though the fast ferries they built should at least receive a few lines. What I wrote about the first decade of large, fast multi hull ferries in the 1990s is widely known within the ship building and ferry industries (feel free to ask absolutely anyone). So I can easily track down published references for these widely known facts (note I didn't add any opinion or analysis of Austal or the industry). However I don't see much point in spending an hour or two finding published sources so I can footnote things if there is a "gatekeeper" of the wikipedia page who will delete it. So you have my word that I'll footnote my little paragraph if it is substantially unaltered for a month (with the obvious exceptions of someone expanding it and hopefully you reverting tonnage to Gross tonnage). Thanks for your work. --Bogong (talk) 09:38, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't get yours modifications about Iran's heavy water production and exportations. You say adding a more valuable source when you keep the two I brought. But you cut the information that the USA was the customer buying Iranian heavy water. Maybe you didn't like this fact but that doesn't make you entitled to suppress what others may find relevant. Equally, Oman doesn't produce any heavy water. Heavy water in Oman is Iranian made as stated by, among others, Washington Times. That you seemed complied to erase this rather obvious fact that Iran was/is the world top heavy water producer is again quite telling. This information is worth publishing, too. Spend your time enriching yourself or Wikipedia rather than killing time deleting what doesn't fit your point of view.

facts about the liqueur Kahlua

for good wiki rules reasons i guess, someone is removing my edit on the article about Kahlua, in which i mention the correct proof of a particular Kahlua product. The only use of my added remark is/was to note the various proofs the liqueur may be bought in. i have not made a legitimate attibution for my remark i suppose. in any case i am indifferent to having any of my assistance minded. i only urge the matter of facts about Kahlua's proof to be stated correctly--and those facts can be seen on the bottles of Kahlua. if it weren't such a byzantine amazing trainwreck of navigating these 'talk' and tangential page features of Wikipedia, i might have made this remark in a better place than having it here. sorry, my bad, i think.
