I've asked for help to figure out what to do about your editing rate.[1] --

You removed some algae banners that I had tagged on article talk pages. You are working in a very difficult area, the Alveolata, and your editing rate appears to indicate that you are not actually looking at the articles. You did tag a number of obvious dinoflagellate species as WikiProject Microbiology--this would be okay if you had not also removed the WikiProject Algae banner. The microbiologists are probably only interested in the common taxa which exhibit toxicity in humans.

Please simply revert all removals of WikiProject Algae banners that you did not originally place. WikiProject Algae is pretty obscure and the banners have been placed thoughtfully by individual editors with knowledge of the topic or by a bot at the direction of the project. If you don't understand the taxonomy of the chromalveolates, then please do not tag them.

What do you mean when you say you are "reviewing edits"? I've looked back to see, and in many cases, you rapidly replaced correct tags with incorrect tags. For example

You also tagged a stub about a species of grass as belonging to Project Sweden, which makes no sense to me since the article does not mention Sweden at all. Tagging articles requires critical appraisal and knowledge of the subject material. Your one-edit-per-second rate produces many, many errors and makes it very difficult for the community to respond and correct the problems. EncycloPetey has an excellent point, "Tagging articles requires critical appraisal and knowledge of the subject material." WikiProject Algae already has access to an operator and his bot who tags articles under the direction of the project. He has not tagged all of the articles, because it is not possible to simply tag all of the articles. He only tags articles after a human editor has checked the entire category. The chromalveolates don't have tags simply because so many of them don't require algae tags, and, for many, the microbiology tags are also a stretch (Tree of Life would be appropriate for these). The taxonomies are complex. If they weren't all of the articles would already be tagged by a bot.

Your current offer to check and untag/tag articles that you have impacted may be workable; but, again, because you chose to tag in the chromalveolata, you may not be able to figure out, without a lot of research, which articles you can leave your tags on. Almost all removals that you made were inappropriate, however.

There may be some edits that you can make, or ways you can help at WikiProject Algae; but there is nothing you can do without thought at 1000 articles/hour. --

You recently tagged a large number of pages with {{WikiProject Arthropods}}, all beginning with the letter A. This makes me worry that you might be tempted to continue with B–Z. Many of the pages you tagged were redirects, which do not need to be tagged. Some of the remainder fall under the auspices of our daughter projects, {{WikiProject Spiders}}, {{WikiProject Insects}} and {{WikiProject Lepidoptera}}, and should be tagged with those templates instead. Almost all of the remainder were articles marked with a stub tag; it would be very helpful if you could assess those as |class=stub in future. Similarly, it's fair to assume that any new article is of low importance, and can be marked with |importance=low as well. I look through all the newly listed articles, so anything that seems like it deserves a higher rating won't be ignored. This would save others (basically, me) from spending too much time assessing articles that could have already been assessed.

Have you fixed all of your mistakes? I don't see it in your edit history.

I could have improved an article instead of spending an hour investigating 14 of your edits. So, you add 14 edits to your edit count, but 6 were bad and it cost wikipedia a good article. This seems to me that your edit count is -1 for every 14 that you make.

Please revert all of your organism talk page banners that have not been verified. There are plenty of good responsible edits that you can make to boost your edit count without resorting to creating problems that other editors have to correct. You appeared to be agreeable to fixing the edits, but you have not done so now.

A bad or wrong article is worse than no article.--

Could you please show me where you obtained consensus from the various WikiProjects that you are tagging for? If a WikiProject wanted articles to be mass-tagged, they could engage one of the bots designed for that purpose (which could also autoassess where possible). You are creating an awful lot of work for others (flooding their unassessed articles category) with this tagging. You also seems to be running these tasks in an automated fashion (as evidenced by AWB running at a high rate of speed - approaching 50 epm in violation of the rules of use - while you were simultaneously using Hotcat to edit other articles), in which case it should be moved to a bot account and be approved by BAG. I've removed your AWB access pending an explanation of the above and also your repairing the various errors that have been pointed out above. I have consulted with two appropriate WikiProjects to see if they can assist me and I've already gone through my edits several times to ensure that they don't have any errors that I can see—of course, the problem here is that these are technical/scientific articles where I lack expertise, so I can't personally ensure that they aren't mistagged (of course, I thought they were correctly tagged in the first place!) Last month we completed our first museum image content donation of 30 images. While this seems to be a low number, what makes the donation unique is the curatorial involvement in choosing and vetting the images for their appropriateness and usefulness within Wikimedia (many of the objects are copyrighted toys and other works that have copyright restrictions.) The curators in the collections department were very hands-on in their involvement, and we'll be outlining this process in an upcoming case study. If you would like to help further this process, I'd be happy for you to help disperse the images into useful Wikipedia articles, or let the appropriate WikiProjects know of the new images. Another 30 will be uploaded in the coming month.

In addition to the collaboration with the Museum Apprentice Program students and the curatorial department, another important collaboration was between User:Ealdgyth and the American Collections curators to significantly update the Broad Ripple Park Carousel article. After an impressive amount of time and work, the article has now received Featured Article status. The museum is absolutely thrilled and will now be adding a QR code to the carousel exhibit Carousel: Wishes and Dreams. In the future, more QR codes will be added to the objects that have had articles written by the MAP students. We're excited by the success of this collaboration & will also be writing a case study on the process.

Universalists Note that Category:Clergy of the Universalist Church of America is a subcat of the one in question. Not, I think, worth me reverting again - but the "comparison" is absolutely 100% precise, even to the mention of non-existent states - "Iran" was "Persia" at the time. Roughly (and only roughly, there's been a few border changes) same area, but different name, at least for the country as a whole ("Persia" is nowadays the specifically Farsi speaking part of Iran), TOTALLY different secular government (although, alas, it's still the same old clerics really running things). Perhaps we DO need one for formerly Jewish Israelis? The point I wanted to make is that this is about as silly a category as I can think of! No real objection all the same - "categories" are NOT, I fear a part of Wikipedia that really function that well - and I know there are some real Lulus out there. ANYWAY - funny as it may seem - even in this way the comparison is pretty spot on. Baha'u'llah and his early diciples all went to prayers in the mosque every Friday - in fact most early Christian Baha'is didn't stop going to church! A prominent early Irish Baha'i formally resigned from his Anglican priesthood very late in his life, when Shoghi Effendi finally asked him to - until then he continued to take services, marry and bury people etc. by the Anglican prayer book. To be fair his bishop must have been VERY liberal in his views.

In this instance, there is only one article the Beacon Theatre link should point to because it is stated in The Allman Brothers Band article that they played at Beacon Theatre, New York City.

Yes, thank you, I also like consistency - but consistency in the musical domain, based on a single authoritative source, means that "East Africa" is mainly the Bantu-Swahili belt. Was there a discussion re splitting up

The reason I asking is that the change to {{Infobox future comics}} created some miscategorizations that we not an issue under "Unpublished".

I'm reverting the split and moves so this can potentially be discussed.

Well... a few things actually.

The Infobox template is being used on articles about comic book series that are either 1) Yet to start but have every indication of going forward as planned, 2) long touted as "coming" with nothing ever seeing print (essentially vaporware), 3) officially or unofficially "cancelled be for the first issue went to press", and 4) one case of something actually being printed and additional material promised but never materializing. When the "Future templates" were depreciated and removed these were moved from "Discussion of future comics" to "Unpublished comics" or, as the category lead implies "Comic books series that exists in full or in part as unpublished works" without making a distinction between haled before publishing began or being canceled with material left to go. Sonic Disruptors was included within that later section.

As stated in the edit summaries, this is a case of "Hold on.." as in

WP:BRD

- at the category level. There is also an issue of articles being categorized by information either not in the article or information in the article being miss-read.

No, I understand that you want to improve things. But being bold does run the risk of others disagreeing and that a discussion will be needed. It also assumes that some care will be used in ancillary edits. As pointed out "fixing" the infobox template for the split isn't just "change the category" since a number of the articles are no longer "upcoming".

The only down side I see is that if you are unwilling, for what ever reason, to discuss the change, it is odd to make the bold change.

Hello. Recently saw that you added Cynthia Ozick and Danilo Kis to this category. Just wondering what your reasoning was. Granted that right now we live in a postmodern era, and Ozick is still writing (Kis is not, unfortunately), I don't know if these two share postmodern aesthetics that define the works of, say, Don DeLillo or Pynchon. Nor do their respective critical discourses, to my knowledge at least, place them in the context of postmodernism. Granted as well that I didn't know this category existed, and would take issue with other writers in it, but this is the first time it came up for my watchlist. Hi Koavf - The image that you were concerned about on the Pixies page has been removed, and so I am hoping that you will return to the FAR (WP:Featured article review/Pixies/archive1) and leave any additional comments, or enter a declaration. As an aside about your comment on the length of the FAR, it is fairly common for article to remain at FAR for a good while if people are interested in improving them - the process is designed to place more focus on improving articles than delisting them, so extra time is given when articles are being improved.
