Thanks. I think I've figured it out now.
What I wanted was the Vector2010 skin and what I needed to remember was to click was "Save" at the bottom of the "Appearance".
But that procedure is far from intuitive. —— Shakescene (talk) 20:57, 21 January 2023 (UTC)

Question
I see that you created the redirect for Fairy Meadpws as a mispelling of Fairy Meadows National Park. Do you know if this is a common misspelling? At a glance it doesn't appear to be but maybe you're aware of context that I'm not. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 20:19, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- It probably isn't common. Kornatice (talk) 20:21, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- That's okay. I figured I'd ask. I've seen some redirects that look unlikely from my perspective but actually are fine (like Scarling. – the period is a stylization). Communication tends to be a good thing. :) Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 20:27, 11 February 2023 (UTC)]

What does this mean in your edit summaries? Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:45, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- It's just a little signature. Kornatice (talk) 02:58, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Generally, abbreviations in edit summaries mean something, such as "rvv" = "revert vandalism" or "ce" = "copyedit" (see [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Edit_summary_legend/Quick_reference this). I'm afraid that using an abbreviation to stand for a personal signature is likely to confuse editors, especially since "~mma" doesn't have any obvious connection to your username. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:12, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Your username identifies you as the user who made the edit. Your "little signature" is neither helpful nor necessary. Eric talk 02:38, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

Please stop removing helpful links from articles about colleges and universities
Please stop removing helpful links from articles about universities e.g., University of California, Berkeley, University of California, Davis, University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Thanks! ElKevbo (talk) 22:50, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- I have been removing them because they violate Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Specifically, from Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking: "When possible, do not place links next to each other, to avoid appearing like a single link". Kornatice (talk) 23:41, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Please stop removing these essential links until you can demonstrate consensus to remove this very longstanding information from these articles. The guideline you have cited explicitly says that "it is best treated with common sense, and occasional exceptions." Numerous other parts of the guideline support including these links.
- If you disagree, I recommend you open a discussion at ]
- @ElKevbo: Could you give examples of "other parts of the guideline" that support the links? Kornatice (talk) 01:04, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- Sure. First, the specific sentence you quoted above says "When possible, do not place links next to each other..." [emphasis added]. So it's not a complete ban on the practice. This is further emphasized in the summary of the entire guideline where it specifically says "it is best treated with common sense, and occasional exceptions may apply."
- The most specific part of the guideline that strongly supports the links that you have advocated for removing is that links should be provided for "[a]rticles explaining words of technical terms. The example provided in the guideline of a lede section with appropriate links specifically notes that links should be provided for "common words [that] have technical dimensions that are specifically relevant to the topic" and words such as ]
