Re: PR for List of Pacific hurricanes

Sure thing! Good luck with it. --♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 15:40, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just a reminder. The list needs to be on FLC by the end of January, if you intend to go through my contest. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:47, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Charley 86

Yes, I plan to create the article, and yes, I knew about that old one. In fact, I was the one who created the original article. Thanks for the offer, but that article is low on my todo list for now (my top priority is probably North Carolina hurricanes). Good luck with your two projects (Pacific hurricanes and 91C). --♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 03:36, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recategorization

Thanks for helping out. I just have a little request that you also remove the Category:Atlantic hurricanes category as well, since the new category combines the two of them. --♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 03:07, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Restoration

Restoration done as requested. Do you need any other pages undeleted?--Sandahl 06:54, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Future articles in userspace

Oh, I didn't think about that. I do intend to work on both of those userpages, and the one I am working mainly on User:Juliancolton/List of New York hurricanes at the moment. I will make sure to only work on 1 project at a time as you have mentioned. Also, thank you for offering to work on one of my projects, but I think I would like to write them myself. Also, if you have extra projects you are working on, I would be happy to help you out. Thanks again. Juliancolton (talk) 00:03, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have absolutely no problem with other users closing FLCs and FLRCs, so you can close one whenever you feel one needs to be closed. List of wettest tropical cyclones in the United States

It took a while, but I did finally scrape together some data for American Samoa, which now resides on the HPC website, and therefore the list. Thegreatdr (talk) 20:39, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Retired cyclones

I am aware that the different regions retire their own cyclones, and I do think that sounds like a good idea to divide the list in regions. I was trying to figure out a solution to what I knew was going to be excessively long, and your idea sounds great. Thank you for the suggestion! Juliancolton The storm still blows... 13:44, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Vietnamese translation

The headline was "21 Typhoon Names had been 'Retired'". The article said that 21 tropical cyclone names, including 18 typhoons and 3 tropical storms, had been "retired" by WMO and JMA because of the excessive damages they caused. DHN (talk) 22:52, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, no mention of Wikipedia in the article. DHN (talk) 22:56, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Retired Pacific typhoons

Hey, I responded to your objection on the aforementioned page's FLC. Sorry if I seem rude in that I keep objecting to your objections, but if there is no site online that has an actual list of retired names, then I don't think we should force its inclusion. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:44, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've deleted your sandbox, per your request. I see it's been deleted quite a few times, I assume each time you start a new article. However, you do know you don't need to delete it every time you start a new article, right? If you like doing it this way for some reason, that's fine, I'm just a little unclear why you're making yourself wait until the page is deleted to start a new article again. --

re: 29 Vancouver municipal election, 2008

I think I would know. Am I unreliable? Is Ron Gunzburger: http://www.gunzburger.com/Buday-Golok.htm Granted that's not my wife, but my mother. On election day will you kiss my ass or ballot announcement? No one is a Candidate fully without filing paperwork, therefore you list Nomination Candidates as Nominees, is this not a factual error?

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Gzlfb&redirect=no#Vancouver_municipal_election.2C_2008_2

I have no conflict of interest since I never added me exclusively. I just made sure someone didn't leave anyone out. I have a Campaign Sites up, I am mentioned on sites(s); up on a Campaign FB Page and Groups. Done any searches yourself? Reporters know even if they ignore the campaign.

If you claim I had a conflict of interest you also say I belong there, so by all means delete and re-add it yourself. But don't say I am not a Candidate and then take it off on a conflict of interest saying there is no credible information, fact remains by removing it on that bases you claim my campaign has to be mentioned. I didn't buzz it at all, that's the important thing. I just added Betty K, now a Work Less Nominee and Myself and Yoshida who announced once on passing at his blog, and James C Green under independents who have announced.

I think your argument is a paradox you caught yourself in. I was mentioned by John C. Turner (neorhino.ca Van-Quadra) on his FB Group as "The Next Mayor" so he knows and brought it up as well.

Re: A suggestion for list of Maryland hurricanes

Thanks for the suggestion. That does sound like a good idea, and you're correct that it would be unneeded to split DC and Maryland. The only problem with that, though, is that I would have to rewrite what I've done so far (about one-quarter done) with information for the District of Columbia. Maybe I could desigate a section of the article to DC? Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 23:21, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I could do that, too. Just one more question: do you think the title of the article should be List of Maryland and Washington D.C. hurricanes or List of Maryland hurricanes, with mention of DC in the article? Thanks, Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 00:42, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think there is a short, collective term for both Maryland and DC, but I'll check. I will probably end up naming it List of Maryland hurricanes, and giving mention of DC in the lead. At the moment, I think I'm doing pretty well with it, but if I need anything I'll let you know. Thank you for offering to help. Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:13, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't bother me too much, so don't worry, I'll still be around. :) Again, thank you, and in return for the smiley face, I'll give you a:
