Information icon Hello, I'm Toddst1. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Agata Flori, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Toddst1 (talk) 15:15, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mustafa Ben Halim

Hi,

can you link the denial of his death by his family? Absolutely not doubting it, but I may find it useful for future references. Thanks. --Folengo (talk) 07:48, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So I am.--Maher27777 (talk) 12:00, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Those pages are affected
  1. Mustafa Ben Halim
  2. List of heads of government of Libya‎
  3. List of oldest living state leaders
  • I note you haven't answered the above queries. I also can't imagine why you would make this up, but I'm afraid your mere say-so is not good enough. There needs to be a reference to invalidate the existing source for his death. Mewulwe (talk) 16:12, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A belated welcome

Hi Mohamad Darilin. Welcome to Wikipedia. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Wikipedia. I hope you find it useful.

Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily in collaboration.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's

Biographies of living persons policy
requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's

neutrality
required in articles.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have

policies and guidelines
.

If you work from

WP:RSN
are helpful in determining if a source is reliable.

I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Hipal (talk) 22:03, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hormoz Farhat

Hi User:Mohamad Darilin, thanks for adding the date of death for Hormoz Farhat. However, I've heard from a friend in Ireland where Farhat has lived for decades that he already died on the 16th, not today on the 17th. As yet I have no citable source for this, but can you try to find out? Sooner or later there will be an official obituary, then we will have it for certain. Thanks –– Aklein62 (talk) 11:20, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

When adding someone's recent death to a

wp:reliable source. Please remember to do that with your addition to the BLP. Please don't make this a race to "publish first". BTW, her death was added several times and removed as unsourced. See help:referencing for beginners. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 02:40, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply

@Adakiko:, He does this on an almost daily basis on here, like he did on Rafiq Nishonov earlier. Seems unwilling to listen. @Mohamad Darilin:, I'm going to give you an opportunity to respond here to explain why you are continuing to add death information to articles without the use of reliable sources. If you do not respond, and I see you doing this again, I will take this to the noticeboard and call for a suspension. Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 13:22, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

edit summaries

Hi there, could you please use edit summaries? Egeymi (talk) 04:59, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

June 2023

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 15:51, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
