File:Charles P. Stone2b.jpg looks great. The handle link to the loc document doesn't work, though. I was curious about the file name change, and especially the new file name at the loc. BusterD (talk) 03:10, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. One more thing, and perhaps it's just me. Would you mind looking at the crop again? I think the background is too tall, especially when the image is deployed in the infobox. Out of curiosity, what made you choose this image to improve? Where did you see it? BusterD (talk) 13:53, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image restoration

Hi Michel! I was notified that you might be the person to talk to about high-quality image restoration. I do not want to impose or anything, but if you have time, please take a look at this picture and see if you want to restore it. It would be great to improve the article Jaffa–Jerusalem railway, which I'm slowly working to bring up to GA status, and could fit in other article, such as Jerusalem and Jerusalem Railway Station (which I intend to write in the future). Thanks, Ynhockey (Talk) 20:36, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya! I'm on holiday right now in a cottage with just the laptop and (very) rudimentary internet access. But it's the next image on my list, I'll have a crack at it asap! -- Michel Vuijlsteke (talk) 22:30, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There you go: file:Jerusalem Railway Station2.jpg -- Michel Vuijlsteke (talk) 17:02, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the great restoration! Do you this it has a chance as a featured picture? (I don't know that much about the process) --Ynhockey (Talk) 18:54, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No thanks. It may have a shot at FP, but I can also imagine comments along the lines of "you can barely see the building itself". Which could then be answered in the vein of "yes, but a railway is more than just the building, this illustrates the rails that came from Belgium and the locomotives that came from X, etc.". I'll have a go, we'll see. :) -- Michel Vuijlsteke (talk) 19:27, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Brilliant work

Your photography is like nothing I've ever seen before. Such good poses, and so little editing. Have you considered writing for a photography criticism magazine? You could certainly use that work to land a job critiquing others to help them improve. Really, just beautiful, one-of-it's kind work. It's good to have you here. -->David Shankbone 15:30, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are three versions of that image: a low resolution courtesy copy, a high resolution (lossy) jpg copy, and this file, which is the original high resolution (lossless) version. MediaWiki apparently can't create thumbnaild for png files as big as this, and that's the only reason this image is orphaned.
