Hi @Materialscientist. I'm sorry! This is my first day of work, so I forgot to explain why on that edit. I looked at the source and there was nothing that says that Leonora Taylor was rebaptized. If you think I read the source wrong, please show me where on the source you found that information. I also noticed that all of my edits were removed. Can you please restore them? I spent a lot of time on them and added a new source.

Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Mormonism and polygamy. The warning template I used puts standard boilerplate text on to your talk page. The problem I had with your editing activity was a non-neutral removal.

There are Mormons who practice polygamy. The fact that the church's official position doesn't support polygamy any more is not a good reason for removing the extensive section about it, with well-cited, essential information. Okay, I am sorry about that. I absolutely did not mean to whitewash polygamy. I simply removed the section because I think that the section fits better on the Sealing (Mormonism) page and none of the sources cited in the section mention polygamy (rather, they are about marriages, divorce, and re-marraige when a spouse dies). I do, however, understand how "Reasons for Polygamy" subsection applies to this page and I was in the process of adding the information from that section into a bigger subsection with other teachings of the Mormon church about polygamy. You removed "Some described polygamy as a form of slavery. Mormon women were seen as oppressed, abused, and trapped in polygamy. Sensational and often violent novels provided fictional stories about polygamy which fueled the public's dislike for the practice and Mormons." These were cited to a scholarly book.

You removed "One author notes that the geographic distance between Mormons and non-Mormons allowed anti-Mormons to make "wild and unfounded claims" about plural marriage. Another reason for the strong bias against polygamy was because of the political power that Mormons (especially polygamist Mormons) wielded in Utah and other places." These were cited to another scholarly book. These removals of yours were what I was looking at.

Regarding the section "Reasons for polygamy" which I unintentionally restored, I will revert myself and take it back out. The cited sources are primary ones, not suitable for analysis which requires

I'm not sure what happened. If I removed them, it was an accident that I was not aware of because I wrote and researched both of those sections and actually added them back in a few minutes ago when I saw they were no longer on the page. I have both of the books that I got that information from next to me right now. I am very sorry for the confusion. I certainly did not mean to remove them considering that I had recently written them. I'm really not sure how I unintentionally removed those sections. Thank you for making me aware of the removal.
