Ingomar Middle School

Hello, Raindrop73. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started,

Ingomar Middle School
, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ravendrop 23:05, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Central Columbia School District may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Use of "costly" with athletic programs

This is an issue I would like Raindrop73 to address. It appears that they have been inserting "costly" to the mention of athletic programs at high schools around the state of Pennsylvania.

Something I don't understand.

First of all, why is the change made on some schools and not on others? If you're studying these school districts and can document how some athletic programs are costly and others aren't, I would like to see your sourcing.Jrshooter (talk) 22:11, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

use of costly

Effective 2012-13, athletic spending in PA all public school districts are publicly reported on an annual basis by the PA Department of Education. See http://www.education.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/school_services_office/9153/disclosure_of_interscholastic_athletic_opportunities/1419362 Disclosure of Interscholastic Athletic Opportunities

I am now adding this third party source to pages I edit, as well as the public disclosure annual budget document for each district which includes a breakdown of spending by cost centers.

There are 500 public school districts in PA. It takes time for me to edit each page. While my goal is to update a page a day, I do miss the goal. Delays in updating School District pages are compounded by my efforts to add public charter school pages and individual school pages. Hope this addresses your concerns.Raindrop73 (talk) 06:52, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. This removed text at Northumberland County, Pennsylvania and this version of the Berwick Area School District article fall so so far outside the bounds of what is acceptable on Wikipedia, I really don't know what else to say. I am plannning to audit at least some of your contributions and removing those that are not up to standard here. Graham87 06:12, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply

Just a clarification: this block is *not* infinite; if you explain yourself adequately you will be unblocked. I found you because of this ABC News story, which, before its update, mentioned Montour County, Pennsylvania. I checked its adjacent counties and found Northumberland County, to which I made this edit. Graham87 09:39, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've unblocked you per the consensus at this administrators' incidents noticeboard discussion, largely because you haven't edited for a long time. If you do come back, please take heed of the messages above. Graham87 06:14, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
