Please refer to the discussion on the article's talk page. Consensus and precedent is that the oath date does not equal when they take office. The official chronology list is the document we have used to determine when a senator's service in the Senate starts, since it describes both their ranking in terms of seniority and their length of service. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Miranda-cosgrove-teen-vogue-photos.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Miranda-cosgrove-teen-vogue-photos.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on

- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Stop having a fit, type normally and sign your posts. The links are unnecessary. It doesn't matter if you "worked hard", it matters if they add to the article. Which they don't. I have no idea where you're getting the idea that more links makes a page look "more advanced", because we have a policy against redundant links (
- Again, you seem to not understand that the quality of an article is not related to the quantity of links it has. At all. By "several offices", you mean Panettas chairmanship of the House Budget Committee, which is a generally lower office and I don't believe should be in the infobox, so long as it is mentioned in the prose of the article and (if possible) appears in the succession boxes below. Both of these occur on Panetta's page. I have nothing against links to the officeholder's numeration if it links to a different article. Otherwise, it's just CIVIL. Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:23, 4 July 2011 (UTC)]
- I've explained to you several times the difference between the linked ordinals on Obama's page as opposed to those on Panetta's. I'd appreciate it if you would read my messages, instead of sending me new messages that clearly show you haven't. Therequiembellishere (talk) 22:26, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
- Wow, you really have a problem actually reading what I write here, don't you? And I've left the Budget Charimanship in the infobox anyway. Since you obviously don't read your own talk page and still don't sign your responses I'm done talking to you here. Therequiembellishere (talk) 17:58, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

3rr on Sarah Palin
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. on the Sarah Palin article. Just to let you know... Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 20:48, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- You have blown through 3RR already, and could be subjected to a block (5 reversions already, in addition to the original post). You have also totally ignored the four separate discussions in the talk page history, and failed to use the talk page to advance your position. WP:BRD is not WP:BRRRRRRRR, and you need to discuss instead of blindly reverting after your changes have been reverted by no fewer than three separate editors. Horologium (talk) 21:01, 9 August 2011 (UTC)]
- Further, you were warned all the way back in July 2010 about the article probation on Sarah Palin ([2]); you may well be looking at a block. Horologium (talk) 21:06, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- This editor has told me, on my talk page, that they will stop editing the article for the time being. I do not know, or believe, that this is enough to avoid a block - that might be the result regardless. Also, I agree with the above - the talk page really should be used! Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 21:10, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- I am too involved in that article as an editor to issue a block, but if I encountered a similar situation at the edit-warring noticeboard (five reversions), I would have blocked him immediately, especially for an article on probation. Horologium (talk) 21:18, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- From what I have seen in the past, if an editor like this continues to disrupt an article - then an Admin will block them from editing. Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 21:32, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
