Thanks for your contribution which, as you will see from the discussion at Talk:Intelligent design#Reversion of edits by Rcarlberg, was accepted as a good faith edit, but reverted pending discussion. Because of the sensitivity and controversy surrounding the subject any changes to the article tend to involve a lot of discussion before they are accepted into the article, and are often rejected. However in the long run it's led to a pretty informative and well balanced article, and your participation to help with the admittedly slow progress to further improvements is welcome. Much appreciated, .... dave souza, talk 20:49, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Cunt : "by my count, I was your mother much upon these years"
I've had to revert your edit on the basis that what Lady Capulet says is not an exclamation but a recollection, and your version doesn't make any sense. See [1] for the context of this. If you can source the interpretation, particularly in other Folios or editions, fine. Until then, it must stay out as OR. --Rodhullandemu (talk - contribs) 00:10, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Mastermind
It looks like most people, including myself, did not see what you were doing with the Mastermind band pages. If you use the edit comment field under the edit box to tell us what you are doing it will help a lot.
To split the two band pages it would have been better if you
Err, I'm still pretty new at this. How can we get the "Mastermind (band)" links to belong to "Mastermind (band - USA)" instead? I couldn't see a way to preserve the "(band)" page since active bands exist in both USA and Japan. Thanks for any help!! Rcarlberg (talk) 17:20, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- I figured you were new - no problem. . . There were only three links to the (band) page and I have edited two of them and will finish up after I finish this note. To do what you wanted to do - to create two pages instead of the one - the best way would have been to:
- Use the move tab at the top of the page to move Mastermind (band) to Mastermind (band - Japan).
- Create the new Mastermind (band - USA)page.
- Looks at the list of articles at Special:Whatlinkshere/Mastermind (band) and edit them to link to the right band.
- Either delete disambiguation page.
But we are almost all set now.
(John User:Jwy talk) 17:29, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, this is kind of a pain, but I think the best way to finalize all this is for you to put the string {{db-author}} at the top of the Mastermind (band - Japan) page. This will get an admin to delete the new page. When it gets deleted, we can do the move. Then all the right people will get credit for what they contributed to the original article. ok? (John User:Jwy talk) 17:37, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
The new one you created and only has your entries (click on the history tab at the top of the page), but much of the content was contributed by someone else. But if we delete that one and then MOVE the old article over, the history tab will be moved as well and we will know who contributed what to the article. (John User:Jwy talk) 17:45, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- I would do it myself, but the easiest way to get an article deleted in this case is if the only author (you) puts the {{db-author}} in. (John User:Jwy talk) 18:17, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
We are done. Unless you want to add back the reference to the us band in the Japanese one. Now I'll have to check put their music! Enjoy. (John User:Jwy talk) 18:46, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Although there are a number of internet sources suggesting that Saturnalia's Magical Love picture disc came out in 1969, it was actually released in 1973. Mark Hanau, who had been manager of Curved Air when their 1970 picture disc Airconditioning was released, tried to replicate the impact with his newly manufactured band Saturnalia and sent them out on a tour to promote the album which was financially disastrous. ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/15/Ambox_warning_pn.svg/32px-Ambox_warning_pn.svg.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Mandrake_on_the_Beach.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please remove the tag.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 18:49, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/15/Ambox_warning_pn.svg/32px-Ambox_warning_pn.svg.png)
Thanks for uploading File:MickWeaver.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Please preview, consolidate, and summarize
Hello, and thanks for your contributions. Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:
- Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
- The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
- Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).
Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 03:03, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Peaceray. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, it's important to be mindful of the feelings of your fellow editors, who may be frustrated by certain types of interaction, such as your addition to Talk:Wendy Carlos. While you probably didn't intend any offense, please do remember that Wikipedia strives to be an inclusive atmosphere. In light of that, it would be greatly appreciated if you could moderate yourself so as not to offend. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 14:38, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Transgenderism
Hi Rcarlberg,
Enjoying the back-and-forth at Talk:Wendy Carlos. Just fyi: this is not a big deal, but the term transgenderism is considered deprecated, and inappropriate for use. It's not a strong, absolutely-never kind of thing, like a derogatory phrase might be, and it's not an insult; it's more of a, "didn't get the memo" type of thing. So for those who want to be sensitive or allies, it's better avoided. That does leave a kind of hole in the vocabulary about trans issues, because you end up having to circumlocute, with expressions such as transgender issues, and so on, but that's just the way things turned out. Words and meanings change, so maybe this one will be reclaimed, or another will pop up to take its place; but in the meantime, it's better to avoid this word, if possible. List of DMP Records releases moved to draftspace
An article you recently created,
As I have discussed several times before with other editors, discographies are not subject to outside references like other Wikipedia articles. With a record label -- particularly one that is out of business -- there is no website to point to. The individual listings come from multiple sources (online auctions, Amazon, personal collections) none of which can be linked. The data listed is verifiable, by an ever changing used CD marketplace, but there is no central source.
Please restore my database at your earliest opportunity. 2601:601:A080:9D0:986D:8E1D:6CF:60A0 (talk) 21:37, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
