Shuqaiq 2 IWPP (Independent Water and Power Project) is an integrated water and power plant project in Shuqaiq, Saudi Arabia. Construction of Shuqaiq 2 IWPP began in 2007 and achieved commercial operation in 2010. The project’s power and desalination units are located adjacent to the existing Shuqaiq I power and desalination complex, 105 km south of Abha and 140 km north of Jazan, on the south-western (Red Sea) coast of Saudi Arabia.
The electricity and water produced at the plant is supplying power to southern grid and water to Abha, Jizan and other southern cities.

Halmore Power Generation Company Limited was incorporated in Pakistan on March 31, 2005. The Company has setup a 225 MW dual-fuel (Natural Gas/High Speed Diesel) combined cycle power station located at Bhikki, near Sheikhupura, in the Province of Punjab, Pakistan. The Company was granted Generation License in July, 2006 by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for this Power Project. Power Purchase Agreement was signed with NTDC on April 28, 2007 and Financial Close was achieved on April 30, 2008. The plant is into its Commercial Operations since June 25, 2011.
Technology
Halmore Power is a combined cycle power plant with a capacity of approximately 225 MW (gross at ISO) and 209 MW (net) at site conditions. Project configuration is two 75 MW each, GE MS6111FA
A state of art waste treatment plant and a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) are installed to ensure that the plant meets World Bank Guidelines for emissions and all the requirements of Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency.
