Definition of generation time
Hi TROPtastic,
I've (again) reverted your edits in the introduction of the generation time article, and explained why on the talk page.
Best, Malparti (talk) 00:37, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Hi again, TROPtastic.
I've seen your nice reply on the generation time talk page -- sorry for not replying earlier but I did not have access to Internet this summer.
I agree with your suggestions. However I am not sure I will be able to make the modifications because the current introduction, with all its flaws, is nevertheless the best thing I could come up with. I'll still give it a try, however before doing this I would like to wait a bit: I've been sent a draft of a very nice article by Stephen P. Ellner that greatly clarifies the link between commonly used measures of the generation time. To me this article is an important one, but it is technical so I have to think what could be extracted from it to be put in the article. And then I'd have to wait for the article to be published -- or at least posted to a preprint server -- to actually make the modifications (that usually takes about 1 year).
Cheers,
