Hello, I'm Egghead06. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 2009–10 in English football, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Egghead06 (talk) 18:51, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
- hello, thank you for your observation. I will make corrections. Um0klinst (talk) 19:22, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
Hello Um0klinst! Your additions to
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's elegibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 14:59, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for the update. Um0klinst (talk) 15:01, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
- hey, and is it okay to paraphrase and use quatotaion marks on the same article or there is a rule about using those in the same article? Um0klinst (talk) 15:33, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
- Paraphrasing is generally not acceptable, although it can be accepted sometimes. Copy/pasting and paraphrasing three whole paragraphs will usually be unacceptable. See WP:PARAPHRASE. You should look for the most notable points and summarise them. In the particular case of https://sudantribune.com/article282981 and this edit by you to Forces of Freedom and Change, what you put was a paraphrase, not a summary of key points. A summary is generally much shorter than the content that it is based on. When you (or I) do a summary based on sources, others may disagree whether your (or my) summary is fair, accurate or focuses on the most notable points, and will edit your (or my) text. But you have to start with a summary, not a paraphrase. Ask yourself: what? when? why? who? where? how? which? and think about what the source says and what the more factual type information is in the source. Wikipedia is not a place for copy/pasting and making minor changes to text published elsewhere; even when the source has a compatible copyright to Wikipedia, the source content generally does not make sense without being put properly into the context of an encyclopedia article. Each of us has his/her own style of editing: DanCherek might wish to comment on alternatives to your FFC edit, which I have marked and proposed as a copyright violation. - Yep, agree with all this... and please don't just copy something over and replace a few words here and there with their synonyms. That's called close paraphrasing, and it not only makes the resulting text hard to understand, it's still not okay because it's only superficially modifying the copyright source. URLs
A separate point to summarising, is sourcing. Please see URL to learn what a URL is. https://sudantribune.com/article282981 is the specific URL of a specific news article published by Sudan Tribune; that would be usable as source. However, https://sudantribune.com is the home page of Sudan Tribune in general. It does not directly display the article Democratic Bloc presents ... Boud (talk) 20:00, 16 May 2024 (UTC)

Mirrors, again
Again at Norton Court, Skenfrith - you've used a very clearly marked Wikipedia mirror as a source. Please slow down and carefully evaluate the sources you are using. Sam Kuru (talk) 10:59, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- Same thing here. Read the sources and look for attribution back to Wikipedia. Sam Kuru (talk) 11:19, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- Final warning - you've added the exact same mirror again here. If you continue to add fake sources, this account will be blocked. Sam Kuru (talk) 14:10, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
Anarchism
Hi Um0klinst,
I saw your work on articles related to anarchism and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch our noticeboard for Wikipedia's coverage of anarchism, which is a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, and stay informed about content related to anarchism. Take a look for yourself!
We also have a live cleanup drive, if you'd like to participate, and a mailing list if you'd like to be notified of upcoming edit drives.
Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 20:00, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
