Lawik dynasty
Please take a look at a new article I created today,
- @Khestwol: It's a good article and well referenced. Thanks for creating it. Good to informatize the ancient history of Afghanistan. --Weaveravel (talk) 20:30, 14 June 2020 (UTC)]
Battle of Jalalabad (1989)
Fortunately, information about it is already available on
- @Khestwol: Yes, there is info about it but considering it's a highly important event it deserves an article of its own. I actually wanted to create the article myself but I too don't have the time for an entire article currently. But thanks anyway. --Weaveravel (talk) 18:45, 19 June 2020 (UTC)]
Afghanistan misinformation
Hi In British empire page the new map is misguided. Afghanistan was never a colony of British empire. The map that have been recently changed (vandalized) should be restored to previous map. It seriously undermines the credibility of Wikipedia. Thank you.

Haqqani network
Hi Weaveravel. I hope things are good for you. The edit you did to Haqqani network at 20:10, 8 September 2021 unfortunately reverted some edits I had done (which I presume you did not really mean to revert) as well as reverting other people's edits. I have undone that edit of yours to get things back to a better state, but I am finding it difficult to figure out what parts of your edit may have been good. The next edit you made, at 20:30, 8 September 2021, is intact, so don't worry about that one. You might want to check if there are parts of the first edit that you want to reinstate, but please do it carefully. It may be better to make several smaller edits, rather than one big one, to make it easier for others to follow what you are doing and why. All the best. Nurg (talk) 03:26, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Nurg: Hello. I realize that a mistake was made by me here. There were a few new users or IPs that removed or altered key content at the top, namely the alledged allies of the group (it was reliably sourced as well) and the sentence about their deadly attacks (sourced, again). I was certain this was due to such editors removing without valid explanation or purposefully doing it for their own agendas, especially with the sensitivity of the topic and it being in the global news. Anyway, I did not see your edits at all, so I am sorry for reverting those with the batch. I did a whole rollback because I noticed several different editors having made changes. But thanks for letting me know now and for reinstating your edits. Also if you notice right now, there's been another new user that has put a long paragraph in the Ideology entry of the infobox. Stuff like these are exactly the reason why I requested protection for this article because many are making it messy. Do you agree it needs protection? --WR 19:40, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. I have reverted that long paragraph in the Ideology entry of the infobox. I have also done some other repair work. I think the article is back to a reasonably good state. You might want to check the 'allies' part of the infobox – I am not as familiar as you with that material. If you make any changes in the infobox, be careful with the referencing, as there are some named references, where the detail of the citation is in the body of the article, not the infobox (e.g. <ref name=Coll_201-202/>). Also note the spelling of "alleged" (not "alledged"). I don't mind if the page is protected, but I am not sure how important that is. Certainly a close eye needs to be kept on the article for a while. Nurg (talk) 00:48, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tips. I have been checking and at the moment the infobox seems to be in a good state. Also the page has now been protected as I gave evidence. Hopefully more patrolling will be done to prevent this again. Also I am thinking if Northern Alliance needs protection too, because the infobox (the "Allies") I have noticed have changed continuously in the past few weeks, I couldn't even keep track. --WR 15:59, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Nurg: while Haqqani network is now protected, it doesn't take much to become autoconfirmed and I fear some non-IP users could still make problems. So yes it needs a close eye. But we're humans and we have our own lives and cannot always keep track. --WR 18:27, 11 September 2021 (UTC)

Afghanistan, British Protectorate State
There is significant amount of evidence I have added in the TALK page [1] of Second Anglo-Afghan War where it clearly states in all 8 references that Afghanistan was a PROTECTORATE state. Will you be ok to add correct information and references in the infobox of the article? Same for article British protectorate, where Afghanistan has been incorrectly added under Protected state instead of Protectorate state. 199.82.243.102 (talk) 11:26, 19 September 2021 (UTC)
Error with reference at Soviet–Afghan War
Hi Weaveravel. In this edit you did to Soviet–Afghan War you added a reference named "nsaarchive", but that reference is not defined in the article. Perhaps you meant to use a different reference, possibly "nsaessay". Are you able to correct it please? Thanks. Nurg (talk) 20:28, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, done. It was indeed "nsaessay". I double checked the ref to confirm. --WR 11:52, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
