GA review for You Rock My World

Hey, I've addressed all of the problems you listed with the article in it's GA review, could you check the article to see if you have anymore concerns? Thanks, Crystal Clear x3 [talk] 22:04, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Sorry to prod you, just wanted to make sure you were still planning on reviewing this sucker as you posted at GAN. Staxringold talkcontribs 16:04, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks for that, all-done! BTW, lemme know if you wanna work together on that 1948 tie-breaker, they seem to be becoming a thing I do. :p Staxringold talkcontribs 01:52, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
  • Sure. Big question is what would be the lead article? Maybe break off the list at
    Shot Heard 'Round the World
    or not. So something like:

Not too daunting, but the older ones will certainly be tougher. Staxringold talkcontribs 14:01, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

  • Sounds good. I'm gonna keep working on the modern ones from time to time for now (and I still have to get back into the Triple Crown topic w/ KV), but lemme know when you wanna do 48. Staxringold talkcontribs 18:33, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Image placeholders

Hello Wizardman, the latest information I could find on image placeholders (when I looked some weeks ago) is that there is no consensus on their use. Is there a more recent or more conclusive article/guide you can direct me to? Thanks. Janggeom (talk) 05:25, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your note; that has provided a better context for understanding. Janggeom (talk) 05:32, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I'm just wondering if you will be addressing the issues from the GAN Review? It has been nearly a week and nothing has been done so far. Thanks. -- S Masters (talk) 03:03, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Ah OK, thanks for letting me know. :-) -- S Masters (talk) 03:20, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
Can you please give me an update on the work for this? Do you need more time? Please let me know what is happening as the time line has ended and I need to make a decision soon on this. Thank you. -- S Masters (talk) 07:52, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (film) GAN

Sorry, but it seems that you have become impatient with my slow start to the GAN above. I've been busy in real life, and also am on 2 others right now. If you could repost what you had posted underneath in the Comments by Other Users Section, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Hamtechperson 01:49, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

I've responded to your concerns at the GAN for The Getaway (Dexter). Let me know if there needs to be any more work. Thanks for the review! — Hunter Kahn 04:17, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

GAN backlog elimination drive - 1 week to go

First off, on behalf of myself and my co-coordinator
GAN backlog elimination drive. It has been nothing short of a success, and that is thanks to you. See this Signpost article
about what this drive has achieved so far.

We're currently heading into the final week of the drive. At this time, if you have any GANs on review or on hold, you should be finishing off those reviews. Right now, we have more GANs on review or on hold than we do unreviewed. If you're going to start a GA review, please do so now so you can complete it by the end of the month and so that the nominator has a full 7-day window to address any concerns.

See you at the finish!

I just saw your review of Jason Jones...I want to respond to one comment you made: "Overall, the article's good despite the length issues. I don't agree with the "too much bungie" concern, because it's kinda ironic to complain about his career taking up the article."

The concern was that he owns Bungie so everything that comes out of Bungie is self-published and doesn't contribute to WP:N. ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 02:53, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I have reviewed the article and found a number of issues which need addressing before it can be listed. You can see the review at Talk:Earl Strom/GA1. I have placed the article on hold for seven days. Cheers. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 13:33, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Resignation

Your accountability (though I think you really have done a decent job) is wonderful, and you should be commended. Now let's see some spectacular article work from you. ;) ceranthor 17:25, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Very sorry to see you resign, Wizardman. But at least now we'll get some more articles out of you :). Operation Big Bear is looking nice, so good luck with that. And maybe now you'll consider going active on the MedCom again?

You closed an RfD with delete on Great Repeal Bill. There has recently been some media coverage of this (and much more), and it is possible that Wikipedia should have an article, and whether or not the original creation was improper or not should be irrelevant. Do you think I should create a new article, or should the redirect be undeleted and edited to create the article? Should I file a Deletion Review? If you agree to undelete or to simply allow the new article to be created, a Review should be unnecessary. Thanks. --Abd (talk) 15:06, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Possible Sock Puppetry by An Admin

Dear Wizardman

I have some concerns that an admin has been engaged in sock puppetry. The procedures for reporting such concerns listed you as one of the possible people to contact, and as I have interacted with you before, this is why I have come to you. Please write to me at and I lay out more details. Thank you for your time.--A.S. Brown (talk) 00:16, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Rickey Henderson

The Henderson quote about his mother is 7 words long, and is illustrative of the "buoyant, eccentric and quotable personality" described in the article introduction immediately beforehand.
Your valid concern about padding the article with unnecessary material doesn't appear to jibe with your restoration of the following text, which verges on
WP:OR: "This is the 13th highest percentage, 5th highest for an outfielder and highest for a player who primarily played left field. His percentage exceeds such luminary talents as Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Stan Musial, Roberto Clemente, Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle
."
The mention of Henderson's 7-steal game is not crucial, but it is two more stolen bases than his MLB high. It's not as if the article's "Minor leagues" section is jam-packed.208.120.153.241 (talk) 22:33, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi, i was just wondering if you could take a look at the Oba Chandler article that recently became a GA article. I personally think that this article could become an FA-status article with some help from some more good users sutch as yourself. If you have the time please look trough the article and do edits that you think will make the article closer to FA status. Was planning to put it up for FA review in june or july. Thanks.--ÅlandÖland (talk) 16:34, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
