Wang Xiangsui (王湘穗, born October 1, 1954) is a professor at Beihang University in Beijing, China[1] and a retired senior Colonel in the People's Liberation Army.[2] He is also a co-author of Unrestricted Warfare, a book which dictates that no country is capable of defeating a superpower, such as the United States, on its own terms. The book outlines steps that could weaken such superpowers, through unconventional means, including manipulation of banking systems, control of the media and natural resources.[2]
Biography
Qiao joined the People's Liberation Army Air Force towards the end of 1970, serving successively as instructor, brigade political commissar, deputy division chief, regimental political commissar, and division deputy political commissar and eventually retiring at the rank of Colonel.
Qiao currently works as a professor at Beihang University as the director of the Center for Strategic Issues, and deputy secretary-general of the National Security Policy Committee and director of the Academic Research Department of the Chinese Society for Policy Sciences.[3]
