Note also that my Web site still says I am active; I lost the machine that held all my Web tools while I was caring for my late wife, and getting those tools back has been a low priority in the last 17 months since her death. My preference would be for my email address, [email protected]. My real name IS "Newcomer", and I was the fifth generation of Newcomers raised on the family farm. The current count is seven generations, although the last two were to my late sister, Kit Snyder; my brother's children are sixth-generation but none of them have offspring. So the name is real, not fictional. You can google my name and find many articles I have published over the years.

My email address has been public for years; I get hundreds of spam messages per week. There is little chance that its presence in Wikipedia could make that situation worse, but I have excellent spam filters.
