Keep So what? Harms literally nobody and isn't a valid reason for deletion. ~ Amory (utc) 18:35, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I was just going to respond by saying that it needlessly clutters Rdcheck and the associated regex (as it did when this was first listed), but it appears that

Correction - I believe it is the RfD notice on the #R that is interfering with Rdcheck. See the Rdcheck for {{

Having these lists & regexes filled with useless userspace #Rs doesn't pass the 'do no harm' test.   ~

I would lean toward "keep" also, per Amory; however, the bold typeface can wait until we've heard from the user regarding their subpage redirect.  Paine Ellsworth  put'r there  17:35, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: I don't use AWB and I don't know what Rdcheck is, so I don't understand the rationale for deletion. Can a layperson's explanation be provided (ideally both here and at #User:Peter G Werner/Template:Infobox Scientist)? As it stands my inclination is to !vote to keep, as this is more than a decade old, so there's a possibility of incoming external links, and whatever the rationale for deletion is it doesn't seem to be based in any policy or guideline. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 20:33, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

See the Rdcheck for {{Infobox soap character}} as an example of how userspace #Rs like User:Peter G Werner/Template:Infobox Scientist pollute the list and 'Get regex for AutoWikiBrowser' links below.

Sounds like it'd be helpful if Dispenser made a change/option to hide these, or AWB should probably allow you to manually override namespaces. I get that redirects to templates are different than to mainspace articles, but I don't see why we need to adapt our behavior to a couple of tools rather than the other way 'round. ~ Amory (utc) 11:50, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We previously deleted a similar redirect (Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2015 October 15#Suji (or Rava)) back when neither alternative name was mentioned at the target. Both names are now mentioned, but I still believe that One Alternative Name (or Other Alternative Name) is implausible either as a search term or as an attempt at disambiguating a link. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 05:09, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
