Suspected sockpuppets

Brettandelle was blocked at the end of 2020 as a result of the ANI discussion at Brettandelle, lots of IPs, and the Killers band as a trio. The involved IPs were from various locations around England.

This person is obsessed with defining certain bands as a trio, for instance the Killers who have a reclusive fourth member named Dave Keuning. Brettandelle and the IP socks kept removing Keuning from the current band membership.[1][2] Allenkirk18 made the same edit.[3]

This person is also obsessed with the album

Eutopia nominally by Massive Attack, but produced without the involvement of two other band members: Adrian Thaws and Grant Marshall. Brettandelle and the IP socks were adding Thaws and Marshall last year, and calling Massive Attack a trio,[4][5] and recently Allenkirk18 made the same edit, adding Thaws and Marshall, and referring to the "trio".[6]

Previous socks created the hoax article Draft:The Fizzy Whizzy Drinkers and edited the main sandbox with Fizzy Whizzy Drinkers hoax material.[7] Now the new user Allenkirk2020 created the hoax template Template:The Fizzy Whizzy Drinkers and the similar hoax template Template:Bone Patrol.

Previous sock was Allenkirk18, now we have Allenkirk2020 and Allenkirk2021 doing the same things. There's also User:AllenKirk20/sandbox, an orphaned sandbox connected to a nonexistent username, containing the same old Fizzy Whizzy Drinkers hoax material and with the same naming style.

Super obvious again. Same naming style, same edits. At the Snow Patrol article, a string of sock IPs and sockpuppet accounts has made the same image change,[16][17] ending with AllenKirk.[18]

At Lower Than Atlantis, Kirk Allen who likes Bands followed blocked sock Allenkirk2020 with the same edit.[19][20]

Allenkirk3040 and KirkAllen15 are following previous socks with similar names doing the same thing at the same articles.

KirkAllen15 followed 86.187.224.172 and AllenKirk making the same edit.[21][22][23]

Allenkirk3040 showed the same interest as 86.187.224.172 and AllenKirk in changing band members at the Kasabian article.[24]

Brandon Flowers of The Killers shows a new naming style, but the focus and edit summaries are still the same. He is obsessed with labeling the Killers band as a trio, and his edit summaries still say "don't be angry". The edit summaries have many problems with capitalization.[25][26][27][28]

A bunch of previous socks tried to change the infobox images of Walk the Moon and Walk the Moon discography, using copyvio images. IP 82.129.92.188 appeared to make the same edit as blocked sock Captain Kirk Allen, adding a photo uploaded yesterday by Brettandelle, who is still active at Commons.[41][42]

IP 195.195.0.125 emphasised the band as a trio, which is a fascination of Brettandelle.

KIRK019's very first edit emphasised the band as a trio. KIRK019 also experimented with the main sandbox page, adding a fantasy band bio with the bandleader name Kirk Allen, like previous socks. The fantasy band is Bone Patrol, the same as the deleted sock creation Template:Bone Patrol.

Their filter log shows attempts to edit the userpages of two previously blocked socks by removing the sockpuppet tags. Additionally, this edit summary contains the string "don't be angry" and others are just a forward slash, which was noted in other socks. The IP 82 made an edit saying "my revision was better", but this was the first time the IP 82 had visited the article. He was clearly referring to edits by the IP 149, restoring the same stuff. IP 149 behaved the exact same way as previous socks, fascinated with the band the Killers being a trio.[54]

All of these IPs and usernames have been used to add unreferenced information about drummer Joe Lazarus becoming an official member of the band Twin Atlantic, starting one month ago with IP 81.2.166.147.[73] The telling forward slash edit summary was used in that edit, and also in edits by McTrusty McNae2022,[74] IP 38.242.171.26,[75] and IP 82.129.82.56.[76] Twin Atlantics Official Timeline also tried to establish Joe Lazarus as drummer, clumsily beginning a band member timeline.[77]

IP 38.242.171.26 added Joe Lazarus as a current member of the band,[78] which was reverted very quickly by Magatta. A half hour later, the username Joe Drummers was registered, with its only edit to revert Magatta and restore the edit of IP 38.242.171.26.[79]

McTrusty McNae2022 added a tweet as a reference, but it doesn't provide the full name of Joe Lazarus, just "Joe", and it doesn't say anything close to him becoming a full member of the band. The tweet says that "Joe" will cover drums for the band in May 2022.[80]

The only thing TwinAtlantic Sam did wrong was to upload a copyrighted image to Commons, and then add the illegal photo to the Twin Atlantic page. The copyright is clearly seen the in EXIF data, with the photographer clearly named Mike Lewis Photography.[81] Past Brettandelle socks have also sought to update band images with stolen snapshots, but this by itself is not conclusive evidence.

Allenkirk555gmail made band-related edits to the sandbox in the same manner as previous socks, then like other socks he edited the members of a band.[143] The same band article had already been targeted by Brettandelle socks User:KIRK2031, User:Lineups-of-20and23 and more. The naming scheme is the same as blocked socks User:Allenkirk18, User:Allenkirk2020, etc.
