Aegus is a genus of

Primarily

saproxylic, adult beetles and grubs are commonly found in decaying wood and stumps with abundant fungal growth.[5]

Species

The species show dramatic external intraspecific variation resulting from sexual dimorphism and male polymorphism.[6]
