The Greater Allen Cathedral of New York is an

. Flake's wife, M. Elaine Flake was appointed by Bishop Gregory Ingram to serve as senior Pastor when Floyd Flake retired in 2020. (The African Methodist Episcopal Church has a mandatory retirement age of 75. All clergymen must retire at the Annual Conference nearest to their 75th birthday.)
The parent African Methodist Episcopal denomination is
First A.M.E. Church of Los Angeles with over 19,000 members and the Reid Temple A.M.E. Church in Glenn Dale, Maryland with over 15,000 members.[5]
