Shara District (Persian: بخش شرا) is in Hamadan County, Hamadan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Qahavand.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 25,509 in 5,793 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 23,195 people in 6,247 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 20,242 inhabitants in 5,903 households.[2]
