The rest of the regnal name"ila-llah" ("to Allah") should make it obvious Allah here is deferred to as opposed to deferring, so that Allah is mufawwad ilayhi and the man is mufawwid.

The name implies resignedness and/or trust in Allah. This understanding of the verb is found in e.g. Quran 40:44.—Arpose (talk) 08:07, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
