It is not known how much Paramilitary forces were there, but a source tells us 280,000 on the West Pakistan and East Pakistani Collaborators, we don't know how much were in this conflict, but the whole number 280,000 has been put up. RevolutionaryPatriot (talk) 00:50, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What the lead used to say, agreeing with the body of the article, and what Time supports, is "India joined the war on 3 December 1971, after Pakistan launched preemptive air strikes on North India." In rewriting the lead on 25 October 2022, XTheBedrockX added an extra word, "India joined the war on 3 December 1971, after which [emphasis mine] Pakistan launched preemptive air strikes on northern India." I assume it was inadvertent, not some "agenda push", but it changed the meaning by putting the events in the wrong order. Why is the UK listed? The Box should only be kept with the 3 powers, Soviets, US and Chinese. The UK i understand were selling weapons to both India and Pakistan, it did not support a party against another, certainly not Pakistan against its own insurgency either. I don't think mere sale of weapons was this particular article's rule precedent policy for listing a country in the support by section.
