I struggled with the BBC link but have left it in the slightly unconventional form now shown because at least it works. Andrew HattonStranger on the shore 12:11, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see categorization is required. Right now I do not have time to work out how to do it. I guess he would be best categorised in relation to his campaigning for Holocaust remembrance.Stranger on the shore 21:44, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Categorization done, though I'm not sure if the Holocaust parts are absolutely correct. Egpetersen 19:21, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to Egpetersen for categorization, I see from his page he is an expert at same. However as far as I am aware Helfgott competed as an international athlete for England and Great Britain and not Poland. I have tried unsuccesfully to edit the categorization to show either but cannot find a term that comes up in blue, hence I have left it as it is for lack of time and skill to either research or send an email to Egpetersen Stranger on the shore 08:51, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have now updated the classifications although I am not sure if they are correct but they certainly seem more accurate than previously.Stranger on the shore 14:19, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Knighthood

As this has obviously confused some editors (and often does confuse people who are not familiar with the British honours system), please note that Helfgott was appointed

Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, which is a different honour. Knight Bachelor carries the title of "Sir", but no postnominals, so he retains his original postnominals of MBE and they are not superseded by KBE. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:36, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply
