A lot of this content was likely added to to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia page by me, but if you haven't checked yet, there may be more detail on the individual state pages where I also added content about the protests.
IIRC I put the most detailed content there, and a more general coverage on the 'Australia' page.

Andykatib, no próblēmó, you may be able to add more detail than a general article would. I think there was another horse hit in an August protest, and one was ridden around in the NSW/Qld border protest.

I've been considering a page myself just on the

Delta outbreak

here, or even just a seperate deaths/cases graph/s. It's hit record new daily cases for NSW & Australia very recently, more than doubled NSWs' deaths.

Thanks 220 of Borg, I agree that a specialist article on the protests will be able to add more detail than a general article. Someone created the NZ protests article last year and it's been useful for tracking the protests there. Regarding the Delta outbreak cluster in NSW, I'm not too sure about that. Would there be an interest in photos and videos of the recent protests in Melbourne? I have some I took personally and others from various news outlets.

Yep definitely. Photos and videos really improve the article. They can capture moments. Also videos, along with their audio can really convey the sentiment/how people felt at these protests. Neb (talk) 07:57, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mitch Ames: If newspaper reports are correct that his Telegram user name is "Dominic D" his already in the article in the Groups section. I think the organisers are worthy of a very brief mention. The article mentions three organisers being charged/prosecution: "28-year-old woman was arrested and charged", "One man, the organiser" and "One of its main organisers". If he was included, Monica Smit is another person also charged in Victoria as being an organiser, that could be included.--Melbguy05 (talk) 12:28, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Open to moving the "Convoy to Canberra" protest to the ACT section. It needs work. I am also open to creating a Convoy to Canberra article with the "COVID-19 protests in Australia" article having a condensed version. Let me know what you think. I think that the New South Wales and Victoria sections of this page should be split into different articles because of how much information and how many protests there have been in these states. Maybe even make the Queensland section an article too. Any thoughts? Thiscouldbeauser (talk) 03:19, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the subheaders for Victoria is too long and could be briefer, more concise and more hollistic. For this we could write shorter description, then use a 'See Also' or 'Further information'.

I oppose removing the whole article as this is a useful landing page, especially when coming from Protests against responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and wanting to find out about the Australian protests during this time.

Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner Luke Cornelius said he was outraged that there were people in the community who thought it was a good idea to leave home and mass protest during a time of a deadly pandemic. Charges against the woman were dropped by police in mid 2022, a statement by police stated it was 'not in the public interest' to continue the prosecution. 

It's probably notable that the same commissioner and same police were A-OK with the Black Lives Matter / George Floyd protests that took place during even more extreme measures of lockdown. None of them were injured, the police escorted, assisted, and enabled that protest and helped stop traffic. But I digress.

I came here trying to find info about the young man who died at the war memorial where the protestors took cover from police opening fire on them. He had his skull crushed, and was bleeding from every orifice. The police did this to him, then left the scene without rendering aid. He was found later by random protestors who attended to clean up the blood of protestors and 40 mm grenades and other plastic refuse the police left behind, many of whom filmed his last moments, during which he tried to explain that the police just attacked everyone and were incredibly violent. He died before finishing his story, and emergency services flat refused to respond when called. This was all documented and available online from multiple independent sources but as of about 2-3 months afterwards it was memory holed and nothing about it can be found through Google anymore.

I was wondering if anyone remembers this young man's name, he mentioned it at the start of the video, and briefly mentioned it again before he died because he didn't want to be John Doe. Whilst every protestor who attended the war memorial aftermath to volunteer and help clean up the blood of all the protestors from the police brutality remembers this young man it appears that the rest of the public, and history, has been enticed to forget him.

What happened that day haunts me, and seeing that young man die for no reason other than poor impulse control from law enforcement will haunt me until the day I die. Never in all my years.
