The coat-of-arms in the illustration isn't made by impaling England (dester) and France Modern (sinister). It's made by DIMIDIATING them. If the arms were impaled, you could see all of the lions' tails and rear legs, and you would see three fleurs, not 1.5 fleurs.2604:2000:C6AA:B400:3068:EE8F:A34A:6DD1 (talk)Christopher L.
