  • Move to Chaldean Patriarchate of Babylon. The church uses a stamp that says Patriarchatus Babylonensis Chaldaeorum.[1] I translate that as "Chaldean Patriarchate of Babylon." "In 1838, Hurmizd was consecrated by Pope Pius VII as "Chaldean Patriarch of Babylon.""[2] The shorten forms "Chaldean Patriachate" and "Patriarchate of Babylon" are both common on Gbooks. I conclude that "Chaldean" is part of the name, but "Catholic" is not. Chaldeans are by definition Catholics, so it's redundant to use both. Nine Zulu queens (talk) 23:31, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Either move it to the proposed concise title of Patriarchate of Babylon or don't move it at all.  AjaxSmack  02:02, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as proposed Patriarchate of Babylon,
concise and unambiguous. Chaldean Patriachate is the only other possibility and should redirect there. Andrewa (talk) 05:28, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply

The church uses a stamp that says Patriarchatus Babylonensis Chaldaeorum.[3] I translate that as "Chaldean Patriarchate of Babylon." "In 1838, Hurmizd was consecrated by Pope Pius VII as "Chaldean Patriarch of Babylon."" These are

primary sources, and in any case any attestation of Chaldean Patriarchate of Babylon is ipso facto an attestation of Patriarchate of Babylon. Andrewa (talk) 05:28, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply

Patriarchal see of Babylon

The historicity of the See of Babylon cannot be questioned as the there have been a number of testimonials with regard to the same. Babylon , Abdias of Babylon Br Ibrahim john (talk) 14:39, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
