Reverted 22:22, 25 Jan 2005

This reversion was to return the article to one consistent with Wikipedia's style, to remove a sentence started with the word "and", and for reasons of clarity. - MykReeve 22:31, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Contradiction?

The text gives two conflicting reasons for her leaving The Last of the Sumer Wine: one is that she left to concentrate on theatre work, the other that she left due to an inability to remember lines due to health; as the former seems unlikely of the latter is true, this perhaps needs clarification or further info? 09:49, 29 April 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jock123 (talkcontribs)

Family

No details of her family - elsewhere I learn that of her 3 children, two were adopted, and of those two, one died of alcoholism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.198.77.21 (talk) 01:54, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Place of birth

Was she born in Parbold or Southport as the info box says one and the text the other? Penrithguy (talk) 22:37, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

According to a lot of sources she was born in Southport Micjon (talk) 18:38, 17 January 2015 (CET) [1] [2] [3] [4]

The Independent also has Parbold in its obituary: here. Furthermore FreeBMD has this entry for "Name: Broadbent, Dora M., Mother's name: Hill; District: Wigan" which would fit with Parbold. Before 1934 Southport births were registered in the Ormskirk District. But The Independent seems to have her birth name wrong. Maybe the place of birth needs to be changed?
