Dory Previn Shannon

At times during the 1980s and 1990s, she used the name Dory Previn Shannon - see [1], [2]. Can anyone shed any light on this ? - it can't have been her married name for at least part of that time, as she was married to Joby Baker in 1984. Ghmyrtle 23:13, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aha ! - [3] Perhaps it was her mother's name... ? Ghmyrtle 09:29, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorted - dug out my copy of "Midnight Baby", with refs to Grandma and Grandpa Shannon. Ghmyrtle 13:55, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dory Previn - The Song

Indie-pop band, Camera Obscura, titled a melancholy song "Dory Previn" (2006) that seems to be an homage to her lost love with first husband, André Previn. It's a favorite of mine and now has new meaning given what I now know of the real Dory Previn. (Illudium-Q36 (talk) 17:18, 29 June 2019 (UTC))[reply]
