]- I found another source which I listed:John J Latting's paper on the New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, 1880. Besides, Anya Seton's novel "Winthrop Woman" is often referred to as a reliable source, seeing as she wrote the book based entirely on fact, drawn from documented references which she listed at the end of the book. Also the wikipedia article on History of Greenwich, Connecticut, mentions Elizabeth and Robert Feake.jeanne (talk) 15:25, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ten years later, I agree that Seton's historical fiction is not appropriate for use as a source in this article. I have removed its one instance in the article and added a citation needed tag. The information (largely about Winthrop's husband) should be removed if it doesn't exist in any sources named by Seton or available elsewhere.--talk) 15:52, 24 August 2019 (UTC)]

- After examining Insubordinate Spirit by Missy Wolfe, I am of the opinion that Fones' death took place 1668-1674. Her last transaction takes place in 1668; her husband remarries in 1674.
