The article tells us, "He currently maintains residences in Europe and Tarpon Springs, Florida USA." Europe is a big place. Almost all other chess sources give his home as Lugano, Switzerland. Lugano is but an hour's drive from Milan, Italy.--Abenr (talk) 14:20, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not so sure it's vandalism, I think the way the table is formatted is awkward and unworkable. Some of the dates given appear to be the year the tourney was instituted (Dortmund, Biel, Tal Memorial), and some are the dates Caruana won the tourney (Sinquefield Cup). It appears someone edited the Sinquefield cup entry and didn't realize the date should have been the inception date of the tourney, in order to be consistent with the rest of the table. Agree about the difficulty of using the tournament comparison table, though on they mean a Grand Prix event, rather than an entire cycle. While I have serious reservations about this table, a single Grand Prix event can count. I've proposed the removal of the table from players pages in the WikiProject Talk page, if you want to share your thoughts. Does the "country" field in the infobox for chess player refer to the country that the guy is a citizen of, or to the country under whose flag he plays in FIDE sanctioned events? You know, I do know the intent of this site and all, but I really feel it is important to mention that Fabiano Caruana on every picture of him looks completely like Frodo and Harry Potter had a son... together. I wouldn't bother Wikipedia if this wasn't something that every single person on earth would agree with.

2. Anish Giri - just 'Dutch'
3. Sergey Karjakin - 'Russian chess grandmaster (formerly representing Ukraine)'
4. Fabiano Caruana - 'Italian and American chess grandmaster'
5. Alexandra Kosteniuk - 'Russian and Swiss chess grandmaster who was'
6. Bobby Fischer - just 'American'

Well apart from Anish & Sergey, I think the point is regardless of their current nationality / nationalities, say all the countries that have represented, hence

1. Bobby, as a chess player, isn't Icelandic .
2. Wesley So, Fabi & Alexandra are considered present tense resp Filipino Italian & Russian
