First name PIETRO

This is an old mistake, derived from the title page of his works, where he is called "P. Sforza Pallavicino, S. J.". The "P" stands for "Padre", not for "Pietro". His given name was "Francesco". Despite what you read, even on his tombstone, he would never have been baptized simply "Sforza Pallavicino", as though Sforza were his praenomen. And Jesuits do not take "names in religion", so he didn't adopt either Pietro or Francesco when he professed his vows. His mother's family was the Sforza. Her given name was Francesca. His father was Marchese Pallavicino. See http://www.gcatholic.org/hierarchy/data/cardAL7-1.htm Vicedomino (talk) 04:25, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
