Name change

We should change the name to Turkish-Kurdish conflict, as it is a standard name and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict isn't called History of the PLO --

This isn't in any way a similar conflict. This article is about the history of

and you will not request a merge if I create a new article?? (because that's the only conflict which has not it's own article)--

There are plenty of other revolts and organizations out there unrelated to the Kurdistan Workers Party. Just becase we do not have articles on them doesn't mean they do not exist :) You are welcome to create a new article introducing the issues more generally linking to respective articles such as this one. However, please do not ask me to "give up" my right to make edits, I reserve the right as an editor to request a merger if I feel it is necessary. This does not mean I will request a merger. I just want to leave merger as a possibility. I would more than support any attemt to expand our coverage of this sensitive issue.
If you like you can actually create a new article something along the lines with for example would be warmly welcomed on my end.

Turkey – Kurdistan Workers' Party conflict. As a Finnish-Kurdish person born in Sweden I'd like to know why Kurds and Turks are so pissed off at eachother to begin with. That article just tells me what kind of human rights violations have occurred between the PKK and the Turkish government.83.249.213.229 (talk) 12:06, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply

Opinion

Hi, I'm new to wikipedia. I don't know the proper etiquette here, so instead of directly editing this article I will list my recommendation below.

If the tools to cope with 70s terrorism were developed before 1970, PKK would not be in the position that it is now. If Turkey does not develop adaptive mechanisms to keep the state a head of the developments or promote a civil society to deal the issues within the political process, the consequences would never end.

Reading through this article I came across the above passage. This segment seems subjective and it is unclear. What are "the tools to cope with 70s terrorism" and how could a solution have been developed before the problem? The first "if" statement is hypothetical and the second "If" statement claims knowledge of future events.

The above sentences read like opinion and should be removed or reworked by someone familiar with this topic, of which I admit ignorance.

Well, the article is in a pretty bad shape. That's no secret. The above sentence is pretty messed up in many ways.

Rewrite

Attempted a rewrite for grammar and clarity. Needs more work. English not the first language of the author.--User:Brenont (talk) 05:27, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, this needs a ton of work, I made a few changes to try smooth this out but there's still a long ways to go.107.212.12.111 (talk) 22:18, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
