Input of Game Console vs Display Device

It appears there's a difference of opinion as to what "input lag" refers to. As I've always understood it, input lag refers to the data/signal input of the display device. Now it appears we have a differing view starting this as a new article, focusing on data/signal input of gaming device. --DMahalko (talk) 21:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs to be rewritten

This article seems to confuse input, output and display lag and is generally very incomplete and confusing. There's even a section in the lead that points out the input/output confusion. Zontague (talk) 17:51, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Too much about displays during this topic and not enough about audio for examlle

as humans I get it we can see the results of input lag on a display but for audio games where you may not even have a visual response to the input but rather an audio response the input lag can also bee observed by hearing, not just seeing. Maybe not even seeing at all. 101.119.171.90 (talk) 10:25, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
