Map and image
Will someone please update the map of the Irrawaddy Dolphin? Most likely the portion of their range around Australia is actually the Snubfin's range. Also, don't you think that the current profile picture (is that the right name?) should be moved elsewhere and a picture of the Irrawaddy itself should be put there? YIGMoA
Does anyone know
Does anyone know if the specie of this dolphin is irrawaddy dolphin? I have taken this picture in Thailand. I heard they are freshwater dolphines live in Mekong.
]
Definitely not. Irrawaddy dolphin has not such a long nose.
- OK, then what can the specie of it be? That's what I realy want to know.--Takora D 18:00, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

This species is a Tursiops aduncus by my account, a Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin, or it could just be a T. truncatus a more common worldwide dolphin, a Common Bottlenose Dolphin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.42.16.208 (talk) 17:56, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Conservation Status
Not sure how to change this, but their conservation status is now critical (almost extinct). http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/08/16/dolphins-in-asias-mekong-river-on-brink-of-extinction-group-says/?hpt=hp_c2 Jasonnewyork (talk) 20:48, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
